Great to have on hand when needed.
I look at a tube of Liquid Nails like I do a roll of duct tape. Its always good to keep one on hand. I've done so many temp fixes around the house until I had time to go back and do them proper. AC grilles, toilet paper holder, soap holder in shower, the sole of one of my work boots, etc. etc. If you make sure you cap it every time as soon as you are done with it then it won't dry out and one tube will probably last you a good while. No issues with bonding on any of the materials I have tried. I highly recommend this and would suggest you throw one in your tool box.

Really Great Holding Power
This stuff is simply amazing in its holding power. My brother’s a builder and has touted it to me as long as I can remember. And I’ve used it as long as I can remember. The stuff sets up hard in a day or two, is waterproof, and simply grabs whatever you use it on and holds on forever. Love this stuff!

Questions about this tube
How long does the tube keep once opened?
Months, if the cap goes back on and a little adhesive is left in the nozzle to seal it.
Will it hold a hook on painted drywall?
Yes, but the paint has to be sound; the bond is only as strong as the surface under it.
